Position:                                          Food Counter Attendant

Duration:                                         Permanent, Full-Time

Hours:                                              30 – 40/week

Salary:                                             $18.25/hr

Overtime:                                        $27.38/hr (As per BC Standards – for over 8 hrs/day; 40 hrs/week)

Observed Holidays:                       As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca – 10 stat holidays/yr

Experience:                                     1 to 7 months of experience required

 

Job Duties:

·       Greet customers and take orders in the restaurant

·       Take customer orders and demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and accurately explain them to the customer when necessary

·       Understand company procedures and apply them to meet customer needs

·       Prepare orders neatly, accurately and in a timely manner while adhering to all quality standards and proper food handing/safety standards

·       Prepare food such as burritos, tacos, and quesadillas.

·       Serve customers at counters with efficient and effective customer service

·       Tabulate totals and package food for customers

·       Receive payment and process transactions through debit, credit, or cash payments

·       Handle cash and return correct change.

·       Stock refrigerators and keep records of the quantities of food used

·       Perform regular janitorial tasks to maintain a safe work and dining environment

·       Receive, unpack, and store supplies and food ingredients in designated storage areas

·       Submit and forecast orders of items that are out of stock

·       Help deal with customer complaints and know when to refer to them management
