We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to support our commercial construction, renovation, and restoration projects.
Job duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction layouts to determine project requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials
- Perform structural framing, reconstruction, and restoration work for commercial construction projects
- Repair and replace damaged wood structures, framing, supports, and exterior components
- Construct, install, and dismantle temporary structures, supports, and formwork systems as required
- Prepare surfaces and structures for waterproofing, cladding, insulation, and finishing applications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Building Code and workplace health and safety regulations
- Work at heights and in varying outdoor weather conditions
- Coordinate with construction crews and other trades to complete projects within scheduled timelines
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience is required
- Trade certification in carpentry is considered an asset
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, as required
- Physically capable of performing demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights when required
