We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our team.
Job Duties:
- Prepare, level, and compact gravel, soil, and base materials before concrete placement.
- Set, align, and secure forms for driveways, walkways, patios, pads, porches, and foundations.
- Place, spread, and finish freshly poured concrete using hand and power tools.
- Smooth and level concrete surfaces using floats, trowels, screeds, and edging tools.
- Apply surface finishes such as broom, stamped, decorative, or smooth finishes.
- Cut expansion and control joints and apply curing compounds.
- Ensure proper grading, slope, and drainage for finished concrete surfaces.
- Repair, resurface, and replace damaged or worn concrete structures.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards, measurements, and safety compliance.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas at project sites.
Employer Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher or in related concrete construction work.
- Experience with forming, pouring, leveling, finishing, and repairing concrete surfaces.
- Trade certification in concrete finishing is considered an asset.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and concrete finishing equipment safely.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and performing demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in dusty environments and varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow measurements, grades, and project specifications.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and statutory holidays, as required.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
