The company provides solutions such as parking garage restoration, balcony and slab repairs, expansion joint replacement, and other concrete maintenance projects for residential and commercial properties across the Greater Toronto Area.
We are currently looking for a Concrete Forms Carpenter to join our team and support our concrete construction and restoration projects.
Job Duties:
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine formwork requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wooden or metal formwork used in concrete construction.
- Build and install concrete forms for slabs, balconies, columns, parking structures, and other structural elements.
- Assemble and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, and temporary supports.
- Prepare layouts using measuring tools according to specifications.
- Verify dimensions, alignment, and stability of formwork prior to concrete pours.
- Ensure formwork is properly aligned and secured prior to concrete placement.
- Assist with concrete placement and finishing when required during restoration and construction projects.
- Repair or modify formwork systems used in structural concrete restoration.
- Maintain carpentry tools and equipment and ensure safe working conditions.
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or a minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry and concrete formwork construction is required.
- Experience working with concrete formwork systems and structural concrete construction is required.
- Trade certification for carpenters or equivalent credentials is an asset.
- Experience in structural restoration, parking garage rehabilitation, or balcony repair projects is preferred.
- Ability to read construction drawings and follow project specifications.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work at heights when required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
