Position Name:                              Butcher – wholesale

Duration:                                         Permanent, Full-Time

Salary:                                              $23.70/hr

Hours:                                              35 – 40hrs/wk

Overtime:                                        $35.56/hr (As per BC Standards – for over 8 hrs/day; 40 hrs/wk)

Observed Holidays:                       As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca – 10 stat holidays/yr

Education:                                       Secondary (High) school graduation certificate

Experience:                                     7 months to 1 year experience required

 

Job Duties:

·       Cut, grind, debone and prepare meat as per order

·       Prepare special cuts as per customer orders.

·       Weigh and package the prepared products

·       Clean the equipments, storage room & workspace on the regular basis.

·       Perform regular quality checks on poultry and meat products.

·       Coordinate delivery or pickups for customer orders.

·       Keep proper product sales records and manage the inventory.

·       Train newer or less experienced employees and ensure they know their responsibilities

·       Adhere to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and food safety standards.
